Learn how to deal with patients’ anxieties, plus approaches for patients with specific psychiatric and medical conditions.

Explore proper use of the X-ray machine, film and processing procedures, and principles of intraoral and extraoral radiography.

Focus on specialties including orthodontics, periodontics, endodontics, prosthodontics and oral surgery.

About Centura

Founded in 1969, Centura College specializes in preparing graduates for a wide variety of career opportunities. There are three Centura campuses in the Tidewater Virginia area, located in Chesapeake, Newport News and Norfolk.

The Dental Assistant Program is offered at Centura’s Chesapeake campus, which features a 27,000-square-foot facility with computer labs, lecture halls, computer labs and specialized labs for hands-on training. Not all programs available at all locations.
