Professional Esthetician

Phase 1

Start with the basics of body systems, including skin structure, types diseases and function, treatments and safety procedures.

Phase 2

Explore hair-removal techniques, makeup station organization, false eyelash and extension application, plus hair lightening.

Phase 3

Learn more about health screening and skin care analysis, mask selection, plus effleurage and related movements and manipulations.

Master Esthetician

Phase 1

Begin with advanced skin care techniques, business strategies, OSHA requirements, FDA guidelines, and personal protective equipment.

Phase 2

Explore advanced procedures and chemical exfoliations, including various peels, plus general procedures and safety.

Phase 3

Learn more about lymphatic drainage and techniques, including lymphatic system functions, and tissues and organs within the system.

About Centura

Founded in 1969, Centura College specializes in preparing graduates for a wide variety of career opportunities. There are three Centura campuses in the Tidewater Virginia area, located in Chesapeake, Newport News and Norfolk.

The Professional & Master Esthetician Programs are offered at Centura’s Chesapeake campus, which features a 27,000-square-foot facility across two buildings, with computer labs, lecture halls, computer labs and specialized labs for hands-on training. Not all programs available at all locations.
